Sound speed profiles

The XBT files are in this folder. (zipped version)

The CTD files (see ASCII *.cnv files) are in this folder. (zipped version - ASCII files only) (the raw binary files are being saved as well, in case anybody wants these)
The CTD data is collected in a proprietary binary data format. The conversion to an ASCII format must be done using a licensed software package (Sea-Bird SBE 9).
Thanks to Barry Quiel for converting these binary CTD files to an ASCII tab-delimited column format.

Time and location of these measurements are at the front of these files.

M-file to convert depth, temperature and salinity to sound speed (uses Medwin, JASA 58:1318 (1975)): ts2c.m
